Bill was born on September 12, 1933. He was the first of eight children born to Edward and Mary (Biyak) Schultz of Kelvington. His siblings included two younger brothers, Harold (Buddy) and Gordon; and five sisters, Hazel, Evelyn, Joan, Brenda and Marion.
When Bill was nearly a year old, his parents purchased a farm in the Kuroki area. Bill attended Rosa School, a one-room country school, for grades one to eight. During this time, Bill acted as school janitor for a year or two.
Throughout his lifetime, Bill worked at a variety of jobs. He was a farmer, a logger, a builder, a welder, and a mechanic.
In April 2017, due to his failing health, Bill moved into Kelvindell Lodge. He passed away on August 20, 2017, with his family at his side.
Bill was a great son, big brother, brother-in-law, uncle and cousin; a loving and caring husband for over 50 years to Anne;  a devoted father to his two sons, Clayton and David, and daughter-in-law Natasha; and a true friend to so many.

He is survived by Anne, his wife of 50 years; sons, David Edward (born in 1967) and Clayton William (1971); daughter-in-law Natasha Schultz (1974); brother Gordon; sisters, Hazel Gerlinski of Saskatoon, Evelyn Durance of Saskatoon, Joan Hawley of Wadena, Marion Smale (Donald Moekerk), Brenda (Dale) Goodsman; his Aunt Irene Schultz of Wadena, Aunt Irene Schultz of Kelvington, and Aunt Mary Schultz of Wadena; his in-laws, Donald (Donnie) and Coleen Enright of Nanimo, B.C., Brian (Gabbi) Enright of Calgary, Joan and David (Dave) Pittman of Lethbridge, Claire and Dale Elphinstone of Wadena, and Mary and Joe Hartl of Lintlaw; as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
