Cindy Rae Friesen

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Cindy Rae Friesen, who left us too soon on September 18, 2025, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, just days before her 54th birthday. Cindy was born on September 24, 1971, in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, to Garth and the late Debra Friesen.

Cindy was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and quiet sense of humor. She spent most of her life in Colonsay, where she enjoyed the simple things—time with friends and family, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and relaxing at home with her beloved cat. She was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and also loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Cindy also had an appreciation for art and creative projects, often sharing photos of beautiful pieces that inspired her.

She is lovingly remembered by her father, Garth, her brother Steven, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Cindy’s warmth, laughter, and gentle presence will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Private Memorial Service will be held for Cindy at a later date.
