David Wesley Moulton was born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, to John and Joyce Moulton on March 8th,1945. David received his formal education in Wynyard. As a young boy David spent hours on the family farm with his siblings learning all kinds of skills from his father and grandfather. He loved shooting the twenty-two or his homemade bow and arrows when the chores were done. David loved life on the farm. He enjoyed dogs, horses and having a few cattle around. After completing grade eight, David decided school was not his thing and entered the work force. He worked at many jobs in many places through the years. He spent many years in the diamond drilling industry, traveling and working all across Canada. He worked as a driller and as a foreman. In 2000 he rediscovered a passion for the trucking industry, his travels taking him once again across Canada and the United States, hauling everything from produce to heavy equipment. If you needed to know where some place was or how to get there, you asked David, he knew. David always worked hard and played hard. He could turn his hand to almost anything and be successful. David married his first wife, Shirley Goertzen in 1964 and settled in Carrot River. He was blessed with two sons, Kelly and Nelson. In 1998 he married Lorraine Gliddon and welcomed her two children, Sheila and Lee into the family. David and Lorraine settled on an acreage near Viscount, Saskatchewan. David finally retired in April of 2014 to pursue his passions in life. David loved Kijiji, fishing, hunting, old cars and to tinker with whatever he could get his hands on. David was predeceased by his father, John in 1985, his mother, Joyce in 2005, his brother Bill, in 2000 and his brother-in-law, Bob in 1992. David is survived by his wife, Lorraine Moulton of Viscount; two sons, Kelly (Christine) Moulton of Humboldt and Nelson Moulton of Calgary; his sister Joy Gillis of Wynyard; two step-children, Sheila (Vance) Mihalicz of Barrier Lake and Lee (Glenda) Gliddon of Ebenezer; three step-grandchildren, Daniel and Samantha Gliddon and Emma Yelland; two nephews, two nieces and many lifelong friends.
