Diane Agnes Witowski

March 7, 1952 — August 13, 2026

Kelvington

Diane Agnes Witowski (Ratch) of Kelvington Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 74 on August 13, 2026. Diane was born on March 7, 1952 in Kelvington Saskatchewan, daughter of Joseph Ratch and Agnes Ratch (Zerff). Diane married the love of her life Walter Witowski on June 23, 1973. They would go on to build a life on the Witowski homestead farm with their three children Amanda (Ed) Moretto, Heather Rattanavong and Neil (Tracy) Witowski. Diane enjoyed countless visits with her grandchildren Maya, Kiera, Jamie, Alex, Shane and Arianna. Her cooking, holiday traditions and antics will be especially missed by her family. Diane prided herself on being a jack of all trades. Over the years she held many different positions including; farmer, butcher assistant, clerk, bookkeeper, flagger, loader operator, cook, custodian and carpenters assistant but there was no job she took more pride in than being a mother. Her children were her greatest accomplishment and she felt blessed to be so connected to them and their families. In her free time Diane loved to garden, read, play cards, curl, dance and gather with family and friends. Some of her fondest memories were made around a campfire at Fishing Lake with the people she loved. When asked what she would change about her life she responded with “Not a thing. Life is exactly how it was meant to be.” She lived unapologetically true to herself to the end and she was proud of that. Diane was predeceased by her husband Walter, parents Joseph and Agnes Ratch, siblings Carol Rowland Alan Ratch and Debbie Rennie as well as her parents-in-law Walter Senior and Pauline Witowski, sisters-in-law Pearl Raiter and Jean Bobyk, brother-in-law Henry Yakimoski, nephew Terry Bobyk, and great niece Bobbi Warlow.

Diane was blessed to have the continued support of her sister-in-law Anne Yakimoski, brother-in-law Earl Rennie and forever son-in-law Song Rattanavong. She will be missed by her extended family; Leo (Pat) Witowski, Tony Bobyk, Cal Rowland and Helen Ratch as well as many nieces and nephews. We are eternally grateful to her life long friends who brightened her final days with regular visits, phone calls and check-ins. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by everyone.
