Obituary

Evelyn Warkentine was born in Tisdale, SK on December 11, 1937. She attended school in Tisdale, where she later met Albert Evenson. Together they raised three children: Alvin (Shirley), Joan (Sean), and Carol (Clay).

Evelyn was blessed with a large and loving family, including 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She worked at the drugstore in Tisdale for 12 years before meeting Jacob Warkentine. The couple married in 1982 and moved to Regina, where they lived for five years. They later relocated to North Battleford and spent 12 years operating a private care home for individuals with disabilities out of their home. In 1998, they moved to Naicam, SK, where they retired.

Evelyn had a deep love for crafting and sewing. She rarely missed an opportunity to have a table at local craft shows and farmers’ markets. Whether she was relaxing at home, doing household chores, or watching television, her hands were almost always busy creating something beautiful.

Evelyn will be lovingly remembered for her creativity, caring nature, and devotion to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
