Frances Agnes Spence

January 2, 1942 — March 11, 2026

Wynyard

Frances (Frannie) was born in Lacombe, Alberta on January 2, 1942, she was the New Year’s Baby that year.

She spent her life making people laugh and always tried to have fun. She often joked about herself and would say, “I’m not fat, I’m Fluffy.

Her jobs included Mother, Certified Nurse’s Assistant and Waitress in various bars in Saskatoon and Wynyard. She lived in Wynyard for many years as she loved the community and the people.

She will be missed by the many friends she made just for being her, funny and straight-forward, saying it like it was.

Frances is lovingly survived by her children Karen Salagubas (Mike), Brenda Smith (Jim Trotchie), Brent Smith, and Greg Smith (Lisa); her grandchildren Tessa Basset (Adam), Aspen Bentley (Jesse), Clay Trotchie, Austin Smith, Cameron Smith (Dacey), Morgan Smith, and Garrett Smith; and her great-grandchildren Rhonnie Walker, Billie Basset, Coehn, and Cole Smith.

She is at peace now and we will miss her very much.

A Memorial Service to honour Franny's life will take place at a later date.  If you wish, memorial donations in Frannie's name can be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
