It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing, of Helen Slusarchuk, on May 10, 2022, at the Langenburg Care Home. Helen was born on March 11, 1935 to Denis and Julia Daniluk. She grew up on the family farm at Okla, SK. On October 29, 1954, she married the love of her life, John, and they lived and farmed side by side on the Slusarchuk homestead until they retired. Following retirement, the couple moved to Wadena, SK in 2009.
Helen loved her family and family time. Helen always enjoyed a good game of cards with whomever wanted to challenge her. She loved hosting family and friends and putting on a tasty spread. She was a wonderful cook. Helen loved being part of the Anglican Church and the Lintlaw ACW, as well as partaking in community activities. She was creative, loved watching curling, her beloved Blue Jays, and everything on Access TV. Helen was also known for growing the biggest and most beautiful gardens.
Helen is loved and remembered by her children Ken (Lorraine), Shannon (Terry) and Kelly (Sherry), her grandchildren Kendell (Kerri), Amber, Jared, Kurtis (Darah), Shae-Lyn (Ian), and Reilee (Marcus), as well as her great grandchildren, Kendry, Klara, and Olivia. Also left to grieve Helen are her sister Annie (Walter) Francis, sister-in-law, Irene Daniluk, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
