Jo-anne Marie Bilewitch

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jo-anne Marie Bilewitch (Ernst) announces her passing on April 29, 2024, at the age of 71 years old.

Jo-anne was born in Spalding and cherished her upbringing in the village of Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan, under the loving guidance of her parents Audrey and Lloyd Ernst. Her childhood was filled with cherished memories of friends picking berries and driving go-carts.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Lloyd Ernst, and her dear brother, Donny Ernst. Jo-anne leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her devoted husband, Jerry, her mother, Audrey (Ross), her daughter, Gina (Kelly), her grandchildren Bailey (Brendan) and Levi (Willow), her great-grandchild Hayden, her son Jesse (Chelsie), as well as her sisters Gloria and Linda, her brother Edward, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg for their kind and compassionate care during Jo-anne's final days.

A graveside funeral service honoring Jo-anne's life will take place at the Punnichy Cemetery on Wednesday, May 8th, at 2 p.m., followed by a gathering at the Punnichy Community Hall to reminisce and share fond memories.

As we say our goodbyes to Jo-anne, let us find solace in the words of Revelation 21:4, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."  May she rest in eternal peace.
