Joseph Stefan Zeller, age 86 years passed away peacefully on October 30, 2014, surrounded by family. Joe was born on May 4, 1928, at the Dick Watt Farm seven miles south of Raymore. He was the seventh of 12 children. Joe started school at Ravensburg Country School south of Quinton. At the age of 15, he took his first job working for John Nagy for a couple of years. In 1945 he moved to Regina and worked for the MidWest Creamery and then in 1948 he moved to Quill Lake and lived with his aunt Magdelena Weigel and his cousins. On June 24, 1954, Joe married Vivian Scott at Quill Lake and to this union five children were born. In 1960 they bought the Stan Michaluk farm and that became their home for the next 16 years. Farming was something Joe always enjoyed. In the fall of 1976 they sold their farm and moved to Wadena where he worked for Milo Mahlum on his farm and also with his auction business. He lived in Wadena until 1989 at which time he sold his house and moved to Saskatoon. In 2007 he returned to Quill Lake and later moved into the Evergreen Country Home in LeRoy until he suffered a stroke in March 2012. In April he moved into the Quill Plains Centennial Lodge until his passing. Dad's greatest enjoyment was visiting with family and friends. He also enjoyed going out to hockey games, and then going for coffee afterwards. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Anne Zeller; seven sisters, three of whom were in infancy (Amelia, Mary, Evelyn), Theresa, Elizabeth, Rose and Francis; one brother, Bernard; grandson Trevor Zazula; and great-granddaughter Serenity Perehudoff.
