In Loving Memory of Kathleen Faith Cossar

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Faith Cossar, on October 29, 2023, at the age of 68. Kathy spent her final seasons immersed in the beauty of nature and the wonders of wildlife, which she lovingly nurtured in her own yard. Her passion for gardening and tending to her flowers brought her joy. Kathy had a deep appreciation for all living creatures, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her beloved hummingbirds and noting and observing the various birds that visited her yard.

Kathy was a devoted family woman, excelling in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her caring and nurturing spirit knew no bounds. She was a self-made success, a shining example of leadership and a career woman who advanced through the Sherwood/Conexus Credit Union system and later dedicated her talents to Co-op Stores in Bankend and Lestock.  Her accomplishments and contributions made a lasting impact on her colleagues, and she served as a mentor and inspiration to those around her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Woodward of Lestock, her brother Bradley Woodward of Lestock, and her sister Dorothy Woodward of Calgary. She is survived by her loving husband, Eldon Cossar, her two sons, Sheldon (Connie) Cossar and Jaydee Cossar, and her grandson, Sterling Cossar. Kathy is also survived by her siblings: Wally (Mary) Woodward of Halifax, Wilf Woodward of Rosetown, and Linda Mihalicz of Regina. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Lorne Cossar of Weyburn, and many nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the Lestock Hall. Interment at the Stone Church will take place at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Stone Church Cemetery •PO Box 204 • Wishart, SK • S0A 4R0
