Kimberley "Kim" Bruce Kanak

Kim was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, on December 3, 1965, to Alex and Laura Kanak. He was the fourth child in the family and grew up on the family farm west of Nora.

He attended Archerwill School and Rose Valley High School. Although he left school in Grade 11, he later upgraded his education and earned his Grade 12 GED.

Throughout his life, Kim worked in a variety of industries, including road construction, oil rigs, hard rock mining, diamond drilling, construction, restoration, and at Canada Packers.

In his younger years, Kim was active in sports, especially track and hockey. He enjoyed having pets, particularly dogs and his horse. He also helped his dad with the chariots and chuckwagons. Kim loved reading and riding the Harley-Davidson motorcycle that he and his friends built from parts. His last motorcycle trip, taken in the summer of 2025 with his brother Michael, was something he talked about often.

Kim was the life of the party in his younger years and enjoyed spending time with friends. He was well known for telling jokes and sharing interesting stories. He also worked setting up and taking down equipment for concerts at SaskTel Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Kim is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; his father, Alex (Olga); his siblings, Allison (Kim), Sandy (Tim), Michael (Kathy), and Lee; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Laura; his stepmother, Serena; and his sister-in-law, Tammy.
