Leonard Earl Menzies was born on August 15, 1945 at Semans, SK to Leonard and Gertrude (Harding) Menzies. He was the second child, having 3 sisters, growing up on a farm 10 miles north of Semans.

Earl had his own painting business and had many other talents and was always a perfectionist for any task he took on. He had a love for any animals.

He is survived by his friend Mark; sisters KAY Smith, Penny Smith, Donna (Barry) Krause and family, Paul Smith and Laura and family;  CAROLYN (Rob) Ewen, Catherine Ewen and Tyler Ewen; ARLENE (Ken) Ewen, Doug Ewen, Lynn (Ryan) McDonald and family and Michael Ewen.
