Lorne Rubisch was born on the farm August 18,1941, at Dubuc, Sask. to John and Lena (Stadeski) Rubisch. The family moved to Bangor, Sask. in 1942 where Lorne attended school. He was a farmer at heart and as a young lad he stooked, helped with haying, looked after cattle, worked in the field and participated in all the daily chores. He also belonged to the Bangor Calf Club. In his younger days, Lorne enjoyed curling in winter and playing ball in summer. Lorne and his brother Gerald farmed together for several years. He then bought more land and continued farming on his own in the Waldron, Sask area. Later on in life, after farming and working in numerous potash mines around Saskatchewan, he moved to Margo, Sask. and retired. There he spent most of his time going to auction sales, rebuilding and selling antique tractors, gardening and fishing when he could get out. Lorne loved all company when they came to visit and would invite anyone in who came to the door and have lengthy conversations with them. Lorne is predeceased by his father and mother; brother Kelly; two brothers-in-law, Bill Shivak and Gordon Neuman; and one niece, Shelly Shivak. He leaves to cherish his memory, five sisters, Donalda Neuman, Geraldine Shivak, Gladys (Gerald) MacAulay, Gloria (Lee) Vilbrunt and Arlene (Darwin) Banga; and one brother, Gerald (Elaine) Rubisch. On Wednesday, May 20, 2015, Delorme (Lorne) of Margo, Sask. passed away at the age of 73 in Kelvington Hospital. His memory will be cherished by his children, Sheldon (Lorraine), Deanna (Rich) and Dwight (Joanne); and his adored grandchildren, Tye, Brandon, Taylor, Reid, Mason, Liam and Devlin, as well as his special friend of 27 years, Georgina Rothlander. Lorne will be truly missed by both families and dear close friends that he has met throughout the years. Donations in Lorne's memory may be made to: Kelvington & District Health Care Facility Foundation Inc., Box 10, Kelvington SK S0A 1W0, or a charity of choice
