Mary Jane
Lawrence
June 21, 1960 — June 24, 2026
Maryjane will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Maryjane Marie (Van Der Auwera) Lawrence, of Warman, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2026, at the age of 66 years.
Maryjane was born on June 21, 1960, in Brussels, Belgium, the fourth of six children born to Yves and Julie (Poulin) Van Der Auwera. Her father immigrated to Canada first, and in 1967 the rest of the family joined him to begin a new life together.
In 1987, Maryjane married Mark Lawrence of the White Fox area. They made their home in Saskatoon, where Mark worked as a truck driver while Maryjane devoted herself to raising their family. Mark lovingly embraced Maryjane's two daughters, Amanda and Angela, as his own. Together, Maryjane and Mark welcomed three more children: Justin, Jami, and Shayne. The couple later separated in 2012.
As her family grew older, Maryjane worked in housekeeping for several years before beginning a career with Tim Hortons, where she worked hard to help support her family.
Maryjane was a quiet, gentle soul whose greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with her sister, Rose, enjoying many outings together, and was grateful for the love and support of her brother, Yves. In her quieter moments, she loved colouring, working on diamond art, and especially cherished visits from her children and grandchildren.
Maryjane will be lovingly remembered by her children: Amanda Wilkinson (Mark), Angela Van Der Auwera, Justin Lawrence, Jami Gryba (Andreas), and Shayne Lawrence; her grandchildren, Makayla, Dakota, Nevaeh, Shianne, Alvin, Lydia, and Otto; her great-granddaughter, Emmryn; her sister, Rose (Cy); her brother, Yves (Diane); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Yves and Julie Van Der Auwera; her brother, Raymond Van Der Auwera; and her nephew, Aiden Van Der Auwera.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maryjane's memory may be made to Telemiracle.
Maryjane will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
