Mike was born on November 16, 1939, to Paul Bucko and Mary (Hawerychuk) on the farm at Mozart. Mike went to Haglof and Mozart Schools.
As a labourer, Mike worked in many provinces including Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, British Columbia. He tried his hand at farming. He lived near Mozart and retired to Wynyard.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, step-father Mike Maximovich, brothers-in-law, Wally Woynarski, Joe Bzdel and Stu Stefan; sister-in-law Carol Maximovich; nephew Nicholas Maximovich; niece Charlene Bucko; and great-nephew Jack Newberry.
Mike is survived by sisters Anne (Arnold) Davey, Sylvia Bzdel and Kathy Stefan; brothers, Paul, Andy, Eugene and Raymond (Karen); half-brothers, Harold (Barb), Stephan (Rose) Maximovich; god-child Jody Wallster; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.
