Nichole Rae Sunshine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunty, Nichole Rae Sunshine, who departed this world far too young at the age of 39 on August 25, 2023. Nichole's radiant spirit, unwavering love, and vibrant energy touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.

Nichole was born on March 6, 1984, and from the moment she entered the world, she brought a ray of sunshine to those around her. She approached life with enthusiasm, finding joy in even the simplest of things. She cherished the beauty in every moment and had a love for sharing that appreciation with everyone she encountered.

Nichole's greatest joy in life was being a devoted and loving mother to her children. She cherished them beyond measure and found immense happiness in their company. She enjoyed taking walks with her family. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines during their ball games, they were engaged in playing board games, or simply spending quality time together, Nichole's love for her children shone brightly.

She also shared a deep connection with her partner, Jeff. Together, they reveled in the joys of hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards and crib, forging a bond of many shared experiences and heartfelt affection.

Nichole enjoyed her mother's home-cooked meals, often a comforting reminder of the love that bonded their family. She enjoyed thrift shopping with her mother and sisters. She also enjoyed sharing makeup sessions with her sisters and creating memories that were filled with laughter and sisterly love brought immense happiness to her life.

Nichole's vibrant spirit extended to her love of dancing and singing, as well as playing card games with friends, along with her daily prayers.  She also had a love for house cleaning. Her thorough approach extended from corner to corner, leaving no area untouched; and she was always willing to assist those needing a helping hand in cleaning their homes as well. 

In her passing, Nichole leaves behind many loved ones who are mourning her loss deeply. Her memory lives on in her children: Austin, Tatyanna, Aurora, Zachery, Sorsha, Jeffery Junior, and her baby Jaxin Paquachan. She is also survived by her partner, Jeffery Paquachan; stepdaughter Natahni Paquachan; step-son, Trey Paquachan; her beloved mother, Brenda Sunshine; her Father Lorne Desjarlais; sisters Jennifer Desjarlais, Stephanie Desjarlais, and Juanita Sunshine; brothers Mackenzie Desjarlais, Darian Desjarlais, and sisters Payton Desjarlais, and Jasmine Desjarlais; a special uncle, Gene Sunshine; and special aunties Karen Desjarlais, Yvette Desjarlais, Lynette Desjarlais, and Diana Sunshine. She is also mourned by numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

As we mourn the loss of Nichole far too soon, let us also remember the love, joy, and warmth she brought into our lives.  Nichole's radiant smile, boundless love, and vibrant presence will forever remain in our hearts.
