Five Oaks Shared Ministry, Naicam

Peter was born on April 14, 1933, at Fosston, Sask., to John and Mary Pigula. He was raised on the family farm near St. Front, Sask., where he attended Brightside School.

On October 14, 1954, he married Doris Kellington in the Naicam United Church. They resided in Naicam and over the next years, four children were born to them. Peter worked at elevator construction for several years until he accepted a job at the Naicam Co-op as a fuel truck driver. He also worked at the Naicam Hotel serving drinks for many years. After 24 years of employment at the Naicam Co-op, Peter retired.

In his spare time, Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and berry picking. He was very active in his children's lives, following them to every hockey and ball game. For 20 years you could be guaranteed to see Peter collecting money at the gate for many sporting events.

Peter was very blessed to have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who meant the world to him.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Pigula; sisters, Annie Pigula and Gladys (John) Melnychuk; brothers-in-law, Vernon Kellington, Raymond Kellington and Albert Kerr; and by sisters-in-law, Stella Kerr and Joyce Kellington.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Doris; his children, sons, Gary (Cheryl) of Medicine Hat, Alta., Lyle (Elan) of Omaha, Nebraska, Keith of Naicam, and daughter Marilyn (Rodney) of Spalding; grandchildren, Aaron (Amy) Pigula of Omaha, Raquel (Cody) Richardson of Naicam, Kimberly Christianson of Saskatoon; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Keaton and Nathan Richardson of Naicam. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters: Bill, John (Lillian), Mike (Jeanette), Alex (Janice), Sophie and Eileen; sister-in-law Yvonne Kellington and by many nieces and nephews.
