Rosaline Pidperyhora

It is with broken hearts to announce the peaceful passing of our mother Rosaline Pidperyhora on December 26, 2023 at the age of 93.

Rosaline was born on the family farm south of Elfros to Nickolas and Sophie (Skotlas) Kachur.  She attended Lily White School and she took high school in Elfros and resided at the dormitory.

On October 21, 1950, Nester and Rosaline got married at St. Demetrius Church (Holar).  They were blessed with two daughters Johanna Rose and Leanna Marie.

Rosaline planted a large garden, maintained her large yard and planted many flowers, to make the yard look like a park. She was a very active member of the St. Demetrius Church.  Rosaline worked and retired from the Wynyard Union Hospital (keeping the floors shiny clean and also cooking in the kitchen). Her best days were when her grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit.  Rosaline stayed on the farm for two years after Nester passed and then moved to Wynyard to the Westview Senior Apartments.  This was a great move as there were relatives and close friends that were there so then could get together for coffee, play cards and other events.  On August 10, 2023, due to failing health, she went to the Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home.

Rosaline is survived by her two daughters Leanna (Bob) and Johanna; four grandchildren Arden (Andrea), Dawn (Steve), Mark (Megan) and Dustin (Kaylee).  She also has six great grandchildren Liam, Ethan, Evan, Emily, Charlee and Carter and she was best known to them as “Grandma Rosie”.

Rosaline was predeceased by her husband Nester, parents Nickolas and Sophie Kachur, brother Russell and sister-in-law Myrtle.
