It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne West, who left us on August 15, 2025 at the age of 59. Wayne was born on March 30,1966 in Regina, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Foam Lake where he developed a deep love for the land and animals that would stay with him throughout his life.
Wayne attended school until grade 10, after which he became a dedicated farmer. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his passion for hunting, horseback riding, and team roping. He was also a proud and hardworking member of the PFRA, where he took great pride in his work. Above all, Wayne had a special bond with animals, particularly his dogs and horses, who were his constant companions.
On July 23, 1988, Wayne married Dianne Stadnyk, and together they had three sons: Ryan, Dylan, and Jordan. They shared many cherished years together before parting ways after ten years of marriage. Wayne was incredibly proud of his sons and loved watching them grow into fine men and fathers themselves.
In his later years, Wayne’s life took on a new chapter when he was reunited with his birth mother Lillian, and his four sisters: Theresa, Candace, Jodie, and Meranda. This connection brought him much joy, and he cherished the time spent with his newfound family.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother Nadga and father Robert. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and adventure that will live on in his sons: Ryan (Ciera), Dylan (Macenzie, Shaddix, Kaine, Violet), and Jordan (Samantha, Deacon, Barrett). He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Wayne’s memory will be cherished forever, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved him.
