Anne Austring was born on June 20, 1931 in Blumenhof, SK. She was the second of six children born to Benjamin and Katherine Goertzen. She took her early schooling in two schools, Balfour and Day Break, near  Blumenhof. It was there that she learned to speak English. When she was 10, and older brother 12, they attended a VBS in the area and it was there that she received Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.

When she was in High School the family moved to Barnwell, AB, outside of Taber, for the family to work in the sugar beet fields. She resided there until she went to Prairie Bible Institute in 1949 and graduated in 1954. She left for a time back to Taber, where she worked at a clothing store, and then returned to Prairie to go on staff in 1960. It was there that she met the love of her life, Don Austring, and they were married on September 2, 1961. Soon after they left staff at Prairie and moved to Wadena, SK, where their first child, Michele, was born. Then came Elaine, almost 2 years later and almost 2 years after that a son, Donald.

Anne was a homemaker most of the time the children were growing up, but also worked in the Ladies' Clothing Store in Wadena as the children started to leave home. She was probably most famous for her dinner rolls (buns), that she shared liberally, but also had a big garden, cooked, baked, canned fruits and vegetables, crocheted, quilted and liked to read. She was also known for keeping meticulous books for Don's farming and furniture moving businesses and knew almost everyone's phone numbers and birthdays. She also took a lot of pictures and has about 30 albums full of   memories. Another thing Don and Anne were known for in the area was singing in church and at many weddings and funerals over the years.

Anne was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Katherine Goertzen, sister Sarah and brothers-in-law Abe Heinrich and Joe Scheuer.  She is survived by her husband Don, daughters Michele (Dave) and Elaine and son Donald (Michelle), four grandchildren Katelyn (Adam), Melissa, Brett and Jared, two great-grandchildren Jax and Liv.  Also, her brother Henry (Eva), sisters Helen (Pete), Kay and Mary, brother-in-law Charlie and numerous nieces and nephews.
