Frances Lamont

Frances Anne Lamont, of Kelvington, SK, passed away on December 25, 2019 in Invermay, SK at the age of 86.

Frances was born on December 11, 1933 to Alex and Teoflia Shewchuk on the farm seven miles north of Invermay, SK. Frances worked various jobs over the years: farming, cooking, working at the Hazel Dell Hotel and worked some falls for Cook’s pelting mink. She was a member of the Lintlaw Legion and the Hazel Dell Curling Club.

Frances enjoyed sports including curling, hockey and baseball (the Blue Jays), bowling, bingo, playing cards, cooking, visiting, family, fishing, sewing, reading, crossword puzzles and much more.

Frances is survived by her sons Eugene Horbach of Kelvington, SK and Duane Horbach of Saskatoon, SK, grandson Matthew Horbach of Saskatoon, SK and brother George (Eldeana) of Invermay, SK. She was predeceased by her first husband Stephen Horbach in 1979, second husband John Lamont in 2000, parents Alex and Teoflia and brothers Leslie and Peter (Helen).
