In Loving Memory of

Marlin Leech

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

It is with tremendous sadness, the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandson, son, nephew, cousin and friend, Marlin James Leech on March 3, 2021.

Marlin was born on July 5, 1967 in Lampman, SK to Robert (Jim) and Adeline Leech. He was the middle child of three. He grew up the most part of his life south of Lintlaw on the family farm and took his schooling in Lintlaw and Kelvington.

Marlin, more known to everyone as Tike, was a happy-go-lucky guy and a Jack of all trades; he could pretty much do anything. In his younger years, he worked away from home, mostly in Alberta on construction, running all kinds of machinery, as Mr. Fix-It, or whatever the job entailed!

After years of working out, he purchased a house in Lintlaw where he continued to work away and began his family: Cody James Bruce born January 2, 1994 and Christopher Allan born March 13, 1996. After the birth of these boys, he purchased a new house trailer to which he put on the same lot. Then came Kole Hugh John born November 20, 2003 and Blair Roger born April 20, 2007. Trying to raise his four boys drew him to jobs close to home. He loved his boys and was a homemaker for them, cooking, cleaning, baking and gardening. His challenges made him become a very good bread maker and canner.

Marlin enjoyed hunting, quadding, sledding and fishing, and always included his boys. In his younger years, he played hockey with the local team and very much enjoyed the time he had with his stock car at community races.

In recent years of the Pelican Run, he added some fun to the event with organizing a poker hand run and put his mechanical skills to use along the trail to make sure all sleds made it home.

Marlin is survived by his loving sons Cody (Brittney), Chris, Kole (Autumn) and Blair; sister Shelley (Clint) and children Tyson (Kristi), Nora and Lewis; brother Todd and children Myles and Spencer; step acquaintance Leonard (Jen) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Adeline Leech, sister Nina Leech, niece Tiana Leech, close aunt Darlene Burseth, grandparents Fred and Emily Bohl and Robert and Beatrice Leech as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
