In Loving Memory of

Norman Radom

Norman Radom of Foam Lake, SK, passed away peacefully at the Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home on May 23, 2020, at the age of 89, with his wife Rose by his side.

He was born on September 8, 1930 in Indian Head, SK to Paul and Alice Radom. They lived in the Fillmore area until 1940, when the family moved to the farm 5 miles south of Foam Lake. In Norman’s earlier years he worked briefly in a gold mine in Ontario, and on the ferries in B.C. He married Rose Kircher on October 23, 1957 in Wadena, SK. They resided on the farm until 1996 when they moved to town. Norman and Rose celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2019.

Norman was most at home on the farm; he enjoyed working with the cattle. He was a leader in the Foam Lake 4H club. His love for the farm continued right up until the time of his passing.

In later years, Norman was a member of the Foam Lake United Church Choir and the Tuffnell Jammers. He greatly enjoyed playing guitar, singing and, of course, his yodeling. He was well known in Foam Lake and the surrounding area for his yodeling skills which he said he learned out behind the barn. He loved his kids and grand kids dearly. He always enjoyed playing the guitar and yodeling around the campfire for his grandchildren and anyone else who happened to be there.

Norman always enjoyed visiting over a coffee with good friends. Thank you to the guys who picked him up and took him for coffee when he could no longer drive.

Norman was predeceased by his parents Paul and Alice Radom and siblings Robert, Isabel, and Alfred. Norman was the youngest of the four.

Norman will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose; son Lyle (Dawn) Radom of Regina, grandson Corey (Holly) Radom and great grandchildren Hudson and Everett, granddaughter Kimberley (Lee) Monfette and great grandchildren Megan and May and grandson Evan (Krista) Radom; son Daryl (Doreen) Radom of Foam Lake and granddaughters Erin, Lauren (Brett), and Amber as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many special cousins.

A private graveside memorial service will be held on June 12, 2020 at Foam Lake Cemetery with Cindy Goodman officiating. The family would like to thank the Home Care staff and the Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home staff for all their love, care and attention to Norman and his family.
