It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Isidore Joseph Kowalchuk on January 5, 2020, at the age of 66, with family by his side. Isidore was known to all as Sid.
Sid was born on September 3, 1953 to Emil and Pearl Kowalchuk (nee Popik). Sid married Terry Pakish on August 13, 1977 at Model Farm. Together they were blessed with two sons: Kyle born June 25, 1982 and Kendall born July 19, 1986. Their lives were then filled with four beautiful grandchildren.
Sid worked for over 40 years in the auto body industry. He also devoted his life to farming which he loved with a passion. Sid was a hardworking man who was devoted to his whole family. He would do anything to help his family, friends or a neighbor in need. He always welcomed you into his home with warmth and kindness.
Sid leaves behind to mourn his passing his wonderful and loving wife Terry Kowalchuk, his sons Kyle (Danielle) of Regina, SK and Kendall (Maygen) of Foam Lake, SK, his four beautiful grandchildren Jacob, Zaidyn, Nicholas and Carollee as well as baby Elijah, due February 2020 whom he wished he could have met. He is also survived by his sisters Olga Turberfield, Pauline Adams (Murray) and Ann Goller (Richard), brothers Bill (Sherri), John and Alex and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sid was predeceased by his parents Emil and Pearl, in-laws Nick and Helen, nephew Robbie Turberfield, sister-in-law Emily Armbruster, brothers-in-law Mel Turberfield, Ray Pakish, Allan Hall and Dudley Peterson.
Donations in Sid’s memory may be made to the Model Farm Church as tokens of remembrance.
