Walter passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. He was born on September 10, 1951 at the Wadena Hospital. Walter and   Diane were married on June 23, 1973 in Kelvington. They    started out their life together farming and have resided on the home quarter ever since. Later in life Walter rented out his land and became a highly respected heavy equipment operator. He worked all over Western Canada, but his heart remained on the farm and he continued to have livestock and cattle to stay       connected.

Walter was predeceased by his parents Walter and Pauline, his  in-laws Joseph and Agnes, his sister Pearl, his brother-in-law  Henry, his sister-in-law Carol and his brother-in-law Alan.

Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Diane, his      children Amanda (Ed) Moretto, Heather (Song) Rattanavong and Neil (Britney) Witowski. He will be missed by his four grandchildren Maya, Kiera, Sam and Alex, his sisters Anne Yakimoski and Jean (Tony) Bobyk, brother Leo (Pat) Witowski and sister-in-law Debbie (Earl) Rennie along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Walter was a loving man, always willing to give a helping hand to a neighbour or friend. He loved his wife fiercely and was always there to support and protect her throughout their life together. He considered his family to be his legacy and was so very proud of all his children and grandchildren. He will be most remembered for his quick wit and charm. No matter how challenging life became he never lost that sense of humour, mischievous  twinkle and hardy laugh. He was a truly remarkable man and he will be missed dearly by many.
